Understanding Position States

Know the difference between open and completed trades.

Open Positions

• Entry executed, exit pending
• Visible in "Live" tab
• Shows unrealized P&L
• No charge until closed
• Can be monitored in real-time

Completed Trades

• Both entry and exit executed
• Visible in Journal
• Shows realized P&L
• Charged per billing plan
• Full AI analysis available

Position Lifecycle

1. Order Placed → Not visible (until filled)
2. Order Filled → Open position (entry only)
3. Position Closed → Completed trade (entry + exit)
4. Analysis → AI processes the trade
5. Journal Entry → Trade appears with insights

Billing Clarity

• Open positions: No charge
• Completed trades: Charged as per plan
• Daily settlement: Only counts completed trades
