What Counts as a Completed Trade?
Understanding Completed Trades
This is crucial for billing—you're only charged for completed trades.
Definition
One Completed Trade = Entry + Exit
When you open a position (buy or sell) AND subsequently close that position, that counts as one completed trade.
Examples
✅ Counts as 1 Trade
- Buy 1 lot NIFTY CE, Sell 1 lot NIFTY CE = 1 trade
- Sell 50 shares RELIANCE, Buy 50 shares RELIANCE = 1 trade
❌ Does NOT Count
- Opening a position without closing it
- Placing an order that gets cancelled
- Pending/unfilled orders
- Holding an open position overnight
Partial Closures
If you close a position in parts:
- Buy 100 shares
- Sell 50 shares (partial close) = 1 trade
- Sell remaining 50 shares = 1 trade
- Total: 2 trades
Multi-Leg Options
Each leg that has both entry and exit counts as a separate trade:
- Iron Condor (4 legs) = 4 completed trades
- Straddle (2 legs) = 2 completed trades
Why This Matters
Our pay-per-trade model means you only pay when you actually complete trades. No charges for paper trading, cancelled orders, or open positions.
